This official Ducati book goes beyond the genesis of the 999 superbike to chronicle the remarkable process of how a motorcycle is designed, developed and manufactured at Ducati. In-depth interviews with each of the key Ducati project leaders explain the extraordinarily sophisticated, intricate and multifaceted process of bringing out a new model. Previously unpublished design renderings and CAD drawings reveal styling directions and technologies that were explored but not put into production. The book also features hundreds of photographs that show everything from the 999 assembly line to the off-limits prototype development areas.
